Lynne Newberry Adams

This story doesn't begin without first talking about the inspiration for this company; my grandmother, Lynne Newberry Adams. She taught in Detroit Public Schools for over 30 years, and was an avid reader who was big on using proper grammar. She even refused to get married until she got her Masters Degree in Education. Quite Progressive for her time! Education is quite literally in my blood, and I'm honored to continue the tradition. 

It was only by accident that I found myself in the sphere of application coaching! I'm an award-winning screenwriter who recently graduated from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor where I double majored in both film and drama.

While in school, I worked for an organization called Wolverine Pathways, which is a college prep program designed for middle and high school students. It was my first time working in a college  prep capacity, and little did I know this was just the first step on my journey. 

After I graduated, I did the classic thing of moving back home with my parents, and I needed a job. I leaned on my skills of helping students, and started working with Michigan College Advising Corps as a College Advisor. I was placed in a high school and this was where I fell in love with the start to finish process of helping students apply to college. From reading essays, to watching them open acceptance letters, I finally felt like I found my place. 

Next thing I knew, I was coming up with the name for my own college coaching business, and here we are.
